Much like a taxi, except you can book ahead and have a driver waiting for you at the airport terminal. Someone to carry your bags, lead the way, and, best of all, you’ll know the fixed cost ahead of time, no matter the crazy traffic.
The Metro in Istanbul includes several stops and will take around 1 hour and 45 minutes, but you don’t have to deal with traffic. Once there, change to the M2 line and head to the last stop – Yenikapi.
You can take the Marmaray from there, which will take you under the Bosphorus at high speed! Get off at Ayrilik Cesmesi station, change to the M4 line, and Kadikoy is just one stop from there.
The final option is the shuttle bus. The Kadikoy service takes around 2 hours, depending upon traffic, and you head outside the airport, and you’ll find the HAVAIST stand with all the different buses. You pay the driver and get on! If the service is full, you’ll have to wait for the next one, but they’re very frequent, so the wait will not be very long.
Another easy option is to take a taxi; however, this is the most expensive option. Depending on traffic, it will take around 1 hour, and you should set your price with the driver before you get in the car. Prices are fluctuating at the moment, so it’s best to check before you plan to travel.
