  1. Hello, I have been following your blog for many months now. It is excellent! I have a question I hope you can help me with. I am a Croatian born in Canada and am thinking about either applying for my citizenship or just moving and applying for temporary residence. The reason for thinking of this is that I am considering retiring to Croatia in the next few years. It seems that applying for citizenship is complicated but would it be advantageous? Thanks for any suggestions.

  2. Hi
We have been trying to gather information on finding a summer job in Croatia without going through one of those agencies who charge a fortune, so far withou success.

We continually read about a shortage of summer tourism workers in Croatia but can’t find where to apply for those jobs. Our son who is a Croatian citizen (English speaking only) and his non Croatian girlfriend would like to work a summer (2020) somewhere in Croatia, have you any hints and tips for finding jobs, particularly with accommodation supplied and for non Croatian speakers. Recently we have read that Phillipinos where going to be employed en mass as hospitality workers so there seems to be a real need but need guidance on how to find and apply for these jobs.

I am sure that many other young people would also benefit from this type of information and would love to see an article and advice.

    Thank you in advance.

    1. Jobs can be found here – https://www.posao.hr/
And, do not beive all that you read online – Phillipinos were NOT hired en masse at all. There are limits on the # of work permits for non-Croat workers so his non Croatian girlfriend will have to get a work visa.

  3. Hi,
Does the recipe call for 140g of fresh yeast because you have left a space between 1 and 4 (1 40).
or is it supposed to be 40g of fresh yeast.
    Thankyou Kindly Toula.

  4. An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a coworker who had been conducting a little research on this. And he actually ordered me dinner because I discovered it for him… lol. So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending some time to talk about this matter here on your website.

  5. Great job on all the recipes!!! It would be great to see a recipe for kajmak! Lots on the internet but most require non-pasteurized milk.

  6. Love all you wrote. Now I need a travel agent to put this together for me. Do you do this? Could you refer me to a travel agent?

    Now this sounds exciting!

  7. Why are you even recomending the Wally Bag?

On your recommendations I are ordered one of them.

I can’t even start to explain why the reviews for this product are as they are, this a cheap plastic suit bag reminicent or the free plastic suit bag you get when you buy a new suit. This will not even survive the first business trip on check bagagge.

    Manny

  8. Not sure if you got my last post. I don’t do social media and I’d like to move to Croatia. Email is good for me.
    Cheers, JCF
