  1. Hi
We have been trying to gather information on finding a summer job in Croatia without going through one of those agencies who charge a fortune, so far withou success.

We continually read about a shortage of summer tourism workers in Croatia but can’t find where to apply for those jobs. Our son who is a Croatian citizen (English speaking only) and his non Croatian girlfriend would like to work a summer (2020) somewhere in Croatia, have you any hints and tips for finding jobs, particularly with accommodation supplied and for non Croatian speakers. Recently we have read that Phillipinos where going to be employed en mass as hospitality workers so there seems to be a real need but need guidance on how to find and apply for these jobs.

I am sure that many other young people would also benefit from this type of information and would love to see an article and advice.

    Thank you in advance.

    1. Jobs can be found here – https://www.posao.hr/
And, do not beive all that you read online – Phillipinos were NOT hired en masse at all. There are limits on the # of work permits for non-Croat workers so his non Croatian girlfriend will have to get a work visa.

  2. Hello, I have been following your blog for many months now. It is excellent! I have a question I hope you can help me with. I am a Croatian born in Canada and am thinking about either applying for my citizenship or just moving and applying for temporary residence. The reason for thinking of this is that I am considering retiring to Croatia in the next few years. It seems that applying for citizenship is complicated but would it be advantageous? Thanks for any suggestions.
