41 Photos Of Sunsets In Croatia That’ll Spark Your Wanderlust
It’s well known that Croatia is the home of the world’s best sunset. Well, that is at least according to Alfred Hitchcock, who in 1964 was staying in room 204 of the now closed Hotel Zagreb along the Riva in Zadar and claimed:
The sunset of Zadar is the world’s most beautiful and incomparably better than in Key West, Florida.
Although there are so many fabulous spots to watch the sun make its way slowly behind the horizon each day in Croatia, I and many others agree. Basking in the warm glow of the orange skies is one hell of a way to enjoy the end of a great day sightseeing while on vacation in Croatia. To prove it, here are photos of the best sunsets in Croatia, all of which will spark your wanderlust for this magical place.
Special thanks to my Facebook and Twitter fans who helped bring you these photos. When I asked if anyone had a sunset photo they wanted to share or knew of some great photos, we had an incredible response – enjoy.

Sunset from Cavtat is missing,to me the best sunsets in Croatia happen there but having said that all the others are just amazing.
Must add that to my list of places to get too 😀
I already want to go to Croatia, and now that I’ve seen these amazing photos I have more reasons to visit! Thanks for your wonderful travel inspiration.
Can I create the hashtag #sunsetporn? Maybe it already exists… anyway, brilliant post! I was trying to find my fave, then I found it: the skydiving pic!
Such gorgeous colours! That photo of Starigrad Paklenica is incredible. Thank-you!
They are all amazing images, I built a holiday home in Marija Bistrica (another small village)
And I love watching the Sunset over the Vine covered hills from our terrace.
Ahhhhh yes, we loved it there. I never did manage a sunset shot though 🙁 If you have one I’d love to add it. http://s27412.p99.sites.pressdns.com/marija-bistrica-pilgrimage/

Damn it SJ (Sarah-Jane Begonja), now all those Americans will all come to see oúr sunsets, your son is going to speak even more with an American accent, and Mc.Donalds will open a chain of bad food places. Even worse, Starbucks is goin to open too, and sell their version of turkish coffee.

That was amazing! I cant wait to go to Croatia in July!
Those photos are spectacular!!! I love a good sunset and looks like I have to add Croatia to my bucketlist to see the sunsets there!!!
Beautiful! There is something about a sunset that is just so capturing. I read once, however, that all the colors are due to chemicals in the air! I so hope that isn’t true.
If Alfred Hitchcock said it- it must be true 🙂
The one on island #Pašman looks like a volcano about to erupt!
Kind of does hey!
They really are stunning
Who am I to argue with Alfred Hitchcock…….they are all stunning!!
